Press Release on Wellington Tragedy

Washington, DC: The National Organization of Sierra Leoneans in North America (NOSLINA) is deeply saddened by the devastating explosion at Wellington yesterday, November 5, 2021, which claimed the lives of scores of our countrymen and women. May their souls Rest In Peace and may God console and comfort their families following this unfortunate and tragic incident.
We pray for the speedy recovery of the injured victims and for the families who reside in the neighborhood surrounding the disaster area. NOSLINA anxiously awaits to hear from the authorities in Sierra Leone; at which point a plan of action on next steps will be determined. Meanwhile, our hearts go out to all Sierra Leoneans and friends of Sierra Leone during this very difficult time in our nation.
