Delivering an Eid Mubarak message to Muslims and the nation today (May 2), the Vice President of Sierra Leone, Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh (photo) appealed to one and all to pray for peace, unity, stability and development in the country.
VP Juldeh Jalloh also called for prayers for President Bio and the government. He remarked on this being the first time in two years that Muslims have gathered in such large numbers to celebrate Eid Mubarak, stating that Covid-19 has been disruptive globally.
He informed the audience that Sierra Leonean pilgrims will join other Muslims from across the world to perform the Hajj this year and wish all Sierra Leoneans and the Muslim Umah around the world a blessed Eid.
"We pray that the Almighty Allah accepts our prayers, fasting and grant our dear nation Sierra Leone the blessings of the Eid," he concluded.
