UN Women country representatives meet in Senegal

Oulimata Sarr, Regional Director for UN Women in West and Central Africa, has expressed delight in bringing together in Dakar, Senegal, all the UN Women country representatives in West and Central Africa.

According to Sarr, this is an annual retreat that allows them to meet again after more than two years of the pandemic.

Also invited was Mr Alioune Tine, founder of the Think Tank Afrika Jom Center. He participated in very fruitful discussions on the geopolitics of the region.

The Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for West Africa, Mahamat Saleh Annadif, also present. He attended the session on the prospects for ending crises. As SSRG for West Africa and the Sahel, he is a key player in the United Nations and an ally of UN Women, Oulimatu pointed out.
