I am happy to have led a tree planting exercise at Fourah Bay College (FBC) Leicester Community. It was great family affair with FBC lecturers and over 300 valuable tree species planted.

Many thanks to the Head of Department Biological Sciences Dr. Okoni Williams, Mr. Henry Squire (Senior Staff), and technical Staff for support with trees and planting expertise.

Trees are extremely vital for our ecosystem; they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilise the soil and give life to the world’s wildlife. They also provide us with the materials for tools, shelter, music (Djembe, balanji, flutes), boats, and more. My goal is to make tree planting, nurturing of our valuable species a habit and culture among people of all ages in Sierra Leone.

I look forward to partnerships with people from various communities in Sierra Leone. Let us make Sierra Leone Green again.
