Ebola: Frank Timis Reassures Workers

Frank Timis (photo), chairman of the African Minerals company that is involved in iron ore mining in the Bumbuna area, Tonkolili district, has arrived in Sierra Leone and has been meeting with workers to reassure them that he is in solidarity with them regarding the Ebola menace in the country.

According to a press release from Tanu Jalloh, AML press officer, Timis told his workers in Tonkolili and Pepel that he will do everything to keep them safe and has put in place mechanisms to ensure that. He also pledged to support the government in its fight against Ebola.

Timis, according to the release, has touring locations where his company is operating and plans to be in Sierra Leone for a little longer to meet his workers and government officials.

The release noted that Timis shook hands with each and every one of his numerous workers everywhere he went and that the workers were very enthusiastic and happy to see him.
