London Mining Awarded “Most Compliant Taxpayer of 2013”

London Mining is pleased to announce that, on 14 December, it was awarded the “Most Compliant Taxpayer of 2013” by Sierra Leone’s National Revenue Authority during its Annual Awards Ceremony at the Family Kingdom Hall. The Award recognizes the Company’s “timely filing of returns and prompt payment of taxes”.
Dan Desjardins, Managing Director, London Mining Company, said, “As one of the largest investors, employers and tax payers in Sierra Leone, London Mining takes its fiscal responsibility very seriously.”

“By fulfilling our tax obligations, we contribute significantly to the Government of Sierra Leone’s Agenda for Prosperity; which, in turn, is helping build the physical and social infrastructure for long-term growth of the country,” Desjardins continued. “We thank the National Revenue Authority for recognising our commitment to work together.”
In 2012, London Mining was also awarded “Sierra Leone Taxpayer of the Year” by the National Revenue Authority.
