The Minister of Works, Housing and Infrastructure, Honourable Alhaji Ibrahim Kemoh Sesay has engaged the top echelons of China Railway Seventh Group (CRSG) in improving the infrastructure of the country.
According to a Ministry of Works source in Freetown, Minister Sesay recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of His Excellency President Ernest Bai Koroma’s APC led government with CRSG for another landmark project (Flyovers) in the history of Sierra Leone.
This move by the Minister speaks volumes of the President’s determination to continue to change the infrastructural history of the country.
When completed, the Flyover project will not just give a facelift value to our capital city of Freetown but will also help to ease the problems associated with traffic jams, a company representative stated.
Further, the minister and his delegation are also in other engagements in Chong Qing city, Ghonging province for the introduction of Coastal Monorail in the country.
This form of transportation is the model in many countries as it is reliable and efficient and when introduced will mitigate the problem of transportation in the country.
Under the Agenda for Prosperity, the Ernest Koroma government is busy opening up the country for trade and investment by rapid road construction and other infrastructural developments.
