Sierra Leone begins new AFCON journey

Sierra Leone’s 54-man delegation has departed the country last evening to set up a training camp in Guinea, Conakry for the AFCON qualification matches.

Leone Stars are to play all its 2023 AFCON matches in Conakry due to the ban placed on the Country’s main stadium for lack of the required standards by the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF).

Sierra Leone will open its AFCON qualification in Abuja against Nigeria on the 10th of June and two days later host Guinea-Bissau in Conakry.
