Sheka Tarawallie, a young and brilliant Sierra Leonean journalist now living in exile in Manchester, United Kigdom, recently got married to a very beautiful lady from East Africa(photos).
Sheka(or Shekito, as he is popularly known) is also one of our writers in that country. He was editor of the Torchlight newspaper in Freetown and was jailed for one month by the SLPP dominated parliament of Sierra Leone when he exposed a corruption scam involving parliamentarians. He was harassed and threatened by the SLPP government when it was restored to power because of his very critical stance after Kabbah was overthrown in 1997.
He is now very active in the British media and writes once in a while on Sierra Leonean issues. We wish him continued happiness, peace and prosperity. Congrats, Shekito!
