President Julius Maada Bio commissioned the new Mabang bridge last Friday.
This bridge will link parts of the north and the west to the south of the country.
Funded by the European Union with a contribution from the government of Sierra Leone, this bridge is on a very important trade route that will boost commercial activities in that part of the country.
