President Julius Maada Bio has arrived in Hanoi, Vietnam to, as he put it, promote greater cooperation and consolidate closer economic ties between the two nations.
Vietnam is not only a major rice-producing country but has enormous experience in the planting and handling of this crop and Sierra Leone could benefit immensely from a closer relationship with this country. There are many other areas the two countries could cooperate that could yield significant dividends.
The president is accompanied by First Lady Fatima Bio and some Ministers of government.
