President Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone has safely arrived in Freetown from what has been variously described as a very successful trip to the People’s Republic of China where he signed several trade agreements with his Chinese counterpart.
China and Sierra Leone have had a very friendly relationship spanning a period of over 45 years.
President Koroma and his entourage landed at the Lungi International airport a few hours ago where they were welcomed by Vice President Victor Foh and several cabinet ministers including Northern region resident minister Alie Kamara, Information Minister Mohamed Bangura, Public and Political Affairs minister Nanette Thomas, Trade Minister Allieu Pat-Sowe and others.
Residents of Lungi and people from other parts of the country where also in attendance to welcome the president who looked radiant and happy despite the long flight from China to Sierra Leone.
