London: Sierra Leoneans Plan Huge Celebration

Siera Leoneans living in the UK will be celeberating
their country’s 45th independence anniversary on Friday 28th April 2006 ath the FUS Night Club in London.

The chief organiser of the show, Mr. Alie Yorkie alias MC Lolly Pop told the Patriotic Vanguard that the
event is to sensitize Sierra Leoneans and non Sierra
Leoneans about the need to love Sierra Leone. He said
that despite the war Sierra Leone is a country that
has a prosperous future. The show, he added, will also raise awareness for the need for tourists to be once more
attracted to the country.

MC Lolly Pop also disclosed to this press that there
is a plan to open a musical academy to help promote
local musicians and that an application has been
submitted to the Musical Industry of Britain for
registration.

The official sponsors of the show include Western
Union Money transfer, Mano River Union Airlines
operated by Monarch , Metropolitan Police of
Southwark, MOBO Awards, Bintumani Travel Services and
Money transfer, Jays Enterprises and Money Transfer,
SEIDYA Homes Property in Freetown and the UK.

The event will be filmed and broadcast by SLBS TV,
