News release:

JoboAfrika.com, the premier pan-African recruitment website, has been launched to offer the first point of access for employment opportunities across the continent and serve the African job market.

The Internet reaches over 54 million users in Africa and penetration rates are increasing at a fast pace in all the continent’s countries. Statics show that employers, recruitment agencies and job seekers are adopting the Internet as the prime tool when seeking candidates or employments.

“JoboAfrika”, (“Work Africa”, in Swahili), is now offered in its English version but will soon be available in Swahili, French and Arabic. As the African employment market becomes more integrated, JoboAfrika.com makes it easier to reach the best suited employers or candidates.

“The concept is to provide a pan-African service to employers and jobseekers and also to initiate a unique and original business model” explains James Reed, Chairman of JoboAfrika.com. “The recruitment website will be a ‘social enterprise’ whereby the sellers of advertising across the continent will retain half the income they bring in and the other half will be returned to support and sustain the site.”

JoboAfrika.com offers employers the opportunity to post jobs at very affordable rates and is free to job seekers. By registering with JoboAfrika.com, companies will have access to thousands of CVs and qualified recruits. Studies have demonstrated that online recruitment reduces the average cost per hire by 10.

“African employers seeking the most cost effective way to recruit the best qualified candidates will no doubt adopt our concept” says JoboAfrika’s Francois Pariseau “JoboAfrika.com attracts technology savvy applicants and local leaders in their fields”

Freelance agents will ensure that regional employers are aware of the service, its advantages and its value. It will be possible for individuals to operate on a self-employed basis anywhere on the continent to personally promote the service. All local affiliates selling job ads will benefit from the revenue generated by JoboAfrika.com.
