PV Staff.

It’s over. The nail-biting. The fast-beating hearts. The tension. All gone.

After a very intense election process for a national executive of one of the most important APC national executives in the diaspora that took several hours in Toronto, Mohamed Son Samura of the Ontario chapter (seen in photo delivering his acceptance speech) Sunday August 7, 2016, emerged as the new Chairman of APC-Canada.

The Vice Chairman (1) is Abdul Kareem Kamara of the Alberta (Edmonton) chapter. The Secretary General is Ibrahim Kamara alias Kanthe Knane of the Quebec (Montreal) chapter. The Organizing Secretary is veteran APC activist Peter Koroma of the Manitoba (Winnipeg) chapter. The Publicity Secretary is PV CEO and Publisher Gibril Gbanabome Koroma of the British Columbia (Vancouver) chapter. We will bring you a full list of the APC-Canada executive members later.

This is the first national executive of the APC branch in Canada.

The election process was supervised by a high-powered delegation from the National APC party secretariat from Freetown that includes the APC Deputy Leader and Mines Minister Comrade Minkailu Mansaray, the APC National Secretary-General Comrade Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh, Trade Minister and APC Western Region Chairman Comrade Momodu Allieu Pat-Sowe, Transport and Aviation Minister Comrade Leonard Balogun (Logus) Koroma, Comrade Elizabeth Mans, APC National Women’s Leader and Fisheries Minister and others.

The delegation will leave for the United States Tuesday morning to supervise another important APC convention to be held August 12 and 13 in New Jersey.
