By Premier Christy Clark, British Columbia, Canada.

I was proud to join Prime Minister Trudeau at SFU Surrey today (November 8, 2016) where we announced we’re investing $126 million for a new Energy Engineering building. This funding will go towards a five-storey, 15,000-square-metre facility that will house state-of-the-art facilities, specialized teaching and research laboratories, a lecture hall, and student services.

BC is leading the country in economic growth and job creation-all while making record investments to keep us moving forward. With almost a million new jobs being created in BC by 2025, we need to make sure British Columbians have the training and skills necessary for the jobs of the 21st century.

I want to thank the Prime Minister for partnering with our government to make this project a reality.
