Guinean leader visits Sierra Leone

The Guinean leader Colonel Mamady Doumbouya, paid a one-day visit to Sierra Leone Friday October 28.

Accompanied by several bodyguards, he was met at the Gbalamuya border in northern Sierra Leone by Vice President Juldeh Jalloh and after the usual courtesies driven by road to Freetown, the capital, where president Bio was waiting for him.

The two leaders discussed bilateral issues, the most important being the transition process to civilian rule. Doumbuya has promised to hand over power in two years after democratic elections.

Colonel Dumbouya has returned home.
