The organization known as Sierra Health Care Services is a Non-Profit Organization with a 501(c) (3) and registered in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Two of the founding members have constructed and donated a two story building to be used as a Health Clinic in Angola Town, Freetown, Sierra Leone(see photo). This health clinic will provide quality health care services and health education for its community.
Sierra Leone is recovering from twelve years of senseless civil war that was savage, brutal and barbaric. It has also devastated the economy and infrastructure of the country, and crippled the health care system in the country. The life expectancy of men in the country is 39 years old and women 42 years according to the World Health Organization. Sierra Leone also has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the world. These issues are attributed to brain drain, poverty, lack of quality health care services, medical supplies, equipment, medication and inadequate trained medical professionals. Most part of the country lack continuous electricity and clean water supply; this issue are also the detrimental factors which daunt the well being of the people in terms of providing proper medical services.

The mission of our organization is to address the above issue at the grass root level in collaboration with other NGOs, health care organizations and professionals by providing quality health care services through the newly built clinic at Angola Town in Sierra Leone and subsequently in all districts in the country. This clinic will be fully equipped with modern medical equipment, supplies, medication and trained professionals, electricity and water supply. The clinic will also serve the population in the Angola Town and surrounding areas regardless of their social and economic status.
