ILLEGAL MOVEMENT OF SIERRA LEONEAN PLAYERS TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES
We write with reference to the above and to officially inform you that certain Sierra Leonean Clubs and individuals are bent on smuggling Sierra Leonean players out of the country using neighboring countries like Guinea and Liberia as their conduit.To this end, the Executive of the Football Association would like to alert CAF andyour good offices to inform all Football Associations of this latest development.
In themean time the Sierra Leone Football Association would like to communicate thisinformation to all embassies and consulates in neighboring ECOWAS Countries fortheir attention.In an attempt to protect these youth players who are under the category of minor and upwards from illegally being smuggled out of the country, the Football Associationwould count on the cooperation of CAF in protecting young players from misuse.
