Once again the people of Sierra Leone have made their voices heard loud and clear.
On July 6, 2008, the National Electoral Commission through the able leadership of the impeccable Dr. Christiana Thorpe conducted and supervised a local government election nation wide.
According to early returns and preliminary results the All Peoples Congress Party thumped the SLPP in the entire country, with the exception of the South-Eastern part of the country.
In a surprising development,KONO district the once SLPP strong bastion, went for the Rising Sun. Bad news for the opposition.
The outcome of this concluded local government election is a clear indication that the people of Sierra Leone trust only Dr. Ernest B, Koroma, and the APC party to run the affairs of the state for the years ahead.
On behalf of Dr. Ernest B, Koroma and the All peoples Congress, I would like to thank the people of Sierra Leone for the faith, confidence and trust they have once more bestowed upon the APC party under the leadership of the dynamic and vibrant President Ernest B, Koroma.
