By Francis Ben Kaifala, Anti-Corruption Commissioner, Sierra Leone

I am representing Sierra Leone at the General Meeting of the Heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies in the Commonwealth in Kigali, Rwanda.

I love representing Sierra Leone, and presenting our amazing story of exemplary reforms, commitment and results in the fight against corruption.

They are in awe that in these four years, Afrobarometer confirms corruption prevalence reduced from 70% to 40%; that MCC Score jumped from 49% to an excellent 83% after 4 years galloping back-to-back passes; that Sierra Leone jumped 15 places upwards in Transparecy International’s Corruption Perception Index; that all indexes show an upwards trajectory and that we continue to expand the frontiers of our fight without fear or favour.

That which is measurable, is doable; so I reminded them that we are winning; and because of it, we will keep fighting like we are losing until this land prospers!
