Today (September 27) is World Tourism Day. The UNDP Resident Representative, Dr. Angela Lusigi (photo) has, as usual, writtten a very thoughtful and thought-provoking article on the significance of toursim for African development. She dwelt at length on how tourism, often neglected on the continent, can play a pivotal role in the economic transformation of Africa if given the necessary consideration.
