Did you know that TICAD stands for Tokyo International Conference on African Development? The Government of Japan has been leading this conference since 1993, co-hosted by United Nations, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Bank and African Union Commission (AUC).
The TICAD8 will be held 27-28 August 2022 in Tunisia. This is the second time in Africa after Kenya hosted in 2016.
The Government of Japan is one of the largest donors of UN Women particularly on peace security and humanitarian action.
