Profile: Praise Nutakor of UNDP-Ghana

Praise Nutakor is a result-driven, global, regional, and national Communications Expert, with rich experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and advocacy campaigns. Praise has great partnerships experience and leadership skills in managing, mentoring and coaching communications colleagues.

Currently, she is Head of Communications and Partnerships at UNDP Ghana, leading deployment of robust communications strategies to attract more partnerships towards sustainable development. At UNDP, she also served as Strategic Communications Specialist of UNDP Regional Bureau for Africa in New York, where she developed and implemented strategic communications plans to improve UNDP’s reputation and thought leadership on development issues in Africa.

Praise also worked as Communications Specialist in Chad on UNDP’s Regional Stabilization Facility for Lake Chad Basin and provided communications advisory services and support to demonstrate UNDP’s leadership on stabilizing four countries (Cameroon, Chad, Niger and Nigeria) affected by Boko-Haram insurgency.

Previously, she served as Communications and Public Relations Associate of the United Nations University; as Communications Consultant for Family Health International (FHI360); Senior Communications Officer of Stratcomm Africa, and Project Manager of West African Consulting Group, all in Ghana, where she executed communications strategies and projects that improved reputation of these organizations.

Praise holds MPhil. degree in Communications and Media Studies. She is an Accredited Member of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana, and bilingual: fluent in English and French. In 2019 and 2020, she was adjudged by Women in PR as one of the top 10 women in Public Relations in Ghana.
