Obituary: Karim Jacob Nallo

The death is announced of the late Karim Jacob Nallo, of Charlotte, North Carolina and of Quadima village, Lugbu Chiefdom, Bo District, Sierra Leone. Mr. Nallo was born on December 29th, 1954, and passed away on December 28th, 2010 at The Carolina Medical Center, Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. He was predeceased by his loving parents and son Joseph.
Karim received his primary education at the Methodist Primary School in Sumbuya, and his secondary education at the Bo Secondary School in Bo, and the Albert Academy Secondary School in Freetown. Mr. Nallo received a Diploma in Business Management and Accountancy at the Lincoln Commercial Institute in Monrovia, Liberia.

He started his professional career as a Sales Associates with the Bata Shoe Company in Liberia. Thereafter, Karim moved to the United States to further his studies at the Bowie State University, Maryland, USA., where he majored in Business Administration.

K. J. or Kabiru, as families and friends fondly called him, was an employee for the Piedmont Airline, a subsidiary of USAIR until his passing. Church was his passion. Mr. Karim was a faithful man of the Gospel, and a devoted member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC. He was also an active member of The North Carolina Chapter of the Tegloma Organization, where he held several positions, including as a two- time President.
Karim, a well-groomed advocate for peace and harmony, leaves to mourn his loss, sisters, brothers, several nephews and nieces and members of the Nallo, Dabor, Koroma, Cuprisin families and large extended family members : Rashid, Bannister, Bangali, Gebeh, Gombeh, Abdulai, Moriba, George, Tucker, Abu, Bangali, Nabangi, Coker, Macauley, Carter, Stevens, Jabati, Muana, Brewah, Quee, Williams, Conneh, Swaray, The Grace United Methodist Church and Tegloma Organization families. He also leaves his ex-wife, Yvette and step-daughter Tanya of Charlotte, NC., along with many relatives and friends in Sierra Leone, Liberia and the U.S.A - Three words to sum up….Life, Love and Laughter.
