
Guinea’s new junta leader Captain Moussa Dadis Camara announced last week a new cabinet to run the affairs of the country. Known as the first government of the Third Republic, the new cabinet is a collection of former government officials and completly new faces drawn mainly from the private sector and the army. Here they are:
1. General Mamadouba Toto Camara, Minister of State Security.
2. General Sekouba Konaté,Minister of National Defence.
3. Boubacar Barry, Minister of Works.
4. Commander Keletigui Faro, Minister of Presidential Affairs.
5. Mamadouba Max Bangoura, Minister of Economic Planning and Private Sector Development.
6. Mahmoud Thiam, Minister of Mines and Energy(former banker in New York, USA).
7. Alexandre Cécé Loua, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Guinean Diaspora (former ambassador to Germany).
8. Dr Frédéric Kolié, Minister of Internal and Political Affairs (former Germany based lawyer).
9. Capitain Mamadou Sandé, Minister of Finance(Economist).
10. Hadja Aicha Bah, Minister of Education(pre-university, technical and civic education). She was a deputy director at UNESCO.
11. Dr Alpha Kabiné Camara, Minister of Education(Tertiary Education and Scientific Research). He was a university professor and chief medical officer at Donka hospital.
12. Abdouramane Sanoh, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry. Former company director.
13. Colonel Siba Nolamou, Attorney General and Minister of Justice. A doctor of Law, and former director of the Sonfonia military academy (Gendarmerie).
14. Commander Korka Diallo, Trade minister. A career military officer.
15. Papa Koly Kourouma, Minister of the Environment and Development. A former company director.
16. Colonel Mathurin Bangoura, Minister of Telecommunications and New Information Technology.
17. Raymond Ounouted, Minister of Marine Resources and Aquaculture.
18. Abdoul Aziz Bah, Minister of Cooperation and African Integration.
19. Dr Alpha Diallo,Minister of Labour, Administrative Reform and the Public Service.
20. Colonel Abdoulaye Cherif Diaby,Minister of Health and Public Sanitation. Former chief medical officer of the Guinean armed forces.
21. Mamadi Kaba, Minister of Transport.
22. Dr Leonie Koulibaly,Minister of Tourism. She was a director at the Guinean ministry of Defence.
23. Joseph Kandouno, Minister in charge of Accountability and Transparency. He plays the role of Auditor General.
24. Madam Hadja Makoura Sylla, Minister of Gender and Children’s Affairs.
25. Justin Morel Junior, Minister of Information and Culture. He is a well known and highly respected Guinean journalist.
26. Colonel Fodeba Touré,Minister of Youth and Sports.
27. Naby Diakité, Minister of Decentralisaion and Local Development.
28. Capitaine Moussa Diokoro Camara, Secretary of State in the office of the president in charge of Special Services including the campaign against drug trafficking and armed robbery.
29. Mamadi Kallo, Secretary of State in charge of Public Works and National Reconstruction.
