Editorial

We at the Patriotic Vanguard always deliver what we promise. Readers would remember that we promised a print edition of this online newspaper some time ago; we are therefore very happy and proud to announce that the maiden copies of our print edition will be ready for distribution by the end of April this year. It will be printed here in Vancouver, Canada, and mailed to our subscribers all over the world. The subscription rate at present is 30 United States dollars a year. Because of production costs, it will, at present, be an 8-page monthly, which will ultimately become a 16-page weekly.

In Sierra Leone, however, it will be sold in the streets of Freetown at the present newspaper rate in that country of 1000 leones(less than 50 cents). Readers in Sierra Leone who would prefer to subscribe and receive the paper through the mail can also do so.

This print edition will be full of exclusive stories that will be announced but never published, in the online edition. The online edition itself will have its own stories and articles that will continue to be free. We welcome advertisements in both editions and would like to publicly thank those Sierra Leonean businesses that have started advertising with us.

So be one of the first subscribers of the Patriotic Vanguard print edition by sending your subscription (we only accept remittances through Moneygram at the moment) to the editor, Gibril Koroma, at: 8008 15th Avenue, Burnaby, BC, V3N 1X2, Canada. Telephone: 604-519-0562/604-308-6087.

Please permit us to repeat that our print edition will be full of stories and articles you will never see in any newspaper or magazine in Sierra Leone or any where in the world. Your subscription will therefore be money well spent. More reporters and correspondents in Sierra Leone and the rest of the world are being recruited and some have started work. Be a part of the Vanguard experience and subscribe today.
