American Jazz musician Terri Lyne Carrington will play at Vancouver’s Chan Centre for the Contemporary Arts February 15, 2015.

According to information from the Centre’s website, the "dynamic drummer, prolific composer, and influential bandleader Terri Lyne Carrington leads her GRAMMY Award winning Mosaic Project, a platform that brings together a diverse range of influential female jazz artists. This performance’s all-star band includes vocalist Lizz Wright, saxophonist Tia Fuller, Nanaimo-raised trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, pianist Rachel Z, bassist Josh Hari and guitarist Matt Stevens for a rich and musically eclectic evening. "

"Ahead of Carrington in this electrifying co-bill is jazz songstress Cécile McLorin Salvant. Classically trained in Aix en Provence, France, this young singer of exceptional soul, power, and virtuosity made her mark on the scene when she won the 2010 Thelonious Monk Jazz Competition. Her GRAMMY nominated debut album, WomanChild, displays her exquisite technique, pitch-perfect phrasing and thoughtful song selection with gems from the early 20th century."
