The interim chairman of the All People’s Congress (Canada Inc.) Peter Koroma, has been announced as the newly elected and substantive chairman of the just concluded APC general elections in Winnipeg, Western Canada.
Koroma (top photo) won the highest seat with 13 points and his opponent, Mohamed Taqi, emerged with 10 points.
Koroma’s running-mate, Samuel James-Decker, won the vice-president position with 16 points.

At a council meeting Thursday morning, Vancouver City Council passed a motion to endorse an application to become a Fair Trade Town, which has made Vancouver the first major city in Canada to achieve this status.

Canada’s Governor General Michaėlle Jean ( seen with Prime Minister Stephen Harper) has brushed off a question about whether she might consider a career in politics.
An African journalist asked Canada’s Governor General recently in Senegal whether she might enter politics when her term expires on Sept. 27.
