The interim chairman of the All People’s Congress (Canada Inc.) Peter Koroma, has been announced as the newly elected and substantive chairman of the just concluded APC general elections in Winnipeg, Western Canada.
Koroma (top photo) won the highest seat with 13 points and his opponent, Mohamed Taqi, emerged with 10 points.
Koroma’s running-mate, Samuel James-Decker, won the vice-president position with 16 points.
For the position of secretary general, Mark Mangay Turay was elected with 13 points while his opponent, Fredo Ali Kamara, got 10 points.
The APC elections were held at the Dockworth Centre, University of Winnipeg, Winnipeg, Canada, today July 17th, 2010.
As we went to press just after the elections, we actually located the newly elected chairman.
"I feel great this moment. I want to thank each and everyone of the candidates that participated in the elections. I also want to thank all the members of APC for organising this elections, and I look forward to working with each and everyone of you," Chairman Koroma said.

The vice chairman Samuel James-Decker was also available."I want to thank everyone that voted for me," Decker told me briefly over the phone.
"It’s about time we come together and work for the benefit of our beloved country," he concluded.
