Two former Nigeria coaches have expressed an interest in taking charge of Sierra Leone’s national team.
Both Christian Chukwu(photo) and Dutchman Jo Bonfrere would like to lead the Leone Stars.
"Bonfrere has written a letter to me saying he would be interested in coaching Sierra Leone," Nahim Khadi, the president of the country’s FA, revealed to BBC Sport.
"And Chukwu has also told me that he wants to coach the Leone Stars."
Chukwu, a former Nigerian international, led his country between 2002 and June 2005, when poor results in World Cup qualifying cost him his job.
Bonfrere was an assistant coach with Nigeria for many years before taking the top job and guiding the Super Eagles to the 2000 Nations Cup final, which they lost to Cameroon.
Khadi says that any decision on who leads Sierra Leone through Group 9 of 2008 Nations Cup qualifying will be taken with new technical director Andy Gray.

The former England international will travel to the capital Freetown in the run-up to the friendly match between Sierra Leone and Guinea on 27 April.
Gray is expected to put forward his own ideas, in addition to those Khadi may have in mind.
Sierra Leone, who have not reached a Nations Cup finals since 1996, must beat Benin, Mali and Togo if they are to take part in Ghana 2008.
