The death is announced of Pa Suliman Mansaray of Kissy in Freetown.

Pa Mansaray was a businessman and the owner of what was known as "Baboo College", opposite Kissy Police Barracks. Baboo College was a zoo containing different animals in the 60s and 70s.

Pa Mansaray fell ill less than two weeks ago. He had a stroke which was triggered by a toothache. He was in the intensive care unit at a private hospital in Brooksfields, in Freetown when he had a cardiac arrest in the evening of October 26, 2006.

He did not survive the cardiac arrest. He was buried
on Friday October 27, 2006 in Freetown. Pa Mansaray was to have travelled to Mecca for the annual Hajj on December 12, 2006.

He is survived by eight children and his wife. One son, Abdulla, is an Assistant Vice Chancellor in Njala,one of the leading universities in Sierra Leone; another
son, Mahmud, is a Social Research Analyst in one of the leading universities in the United States; three daughters and a son are all graduates and are living in the United Kingdom.
