Dear Editor,

The article dated June 6th 2011 published on one of the Salone papers about a meeting held on May 29th, 2011 in the Wara Wara Bafodia Chiefdom titled “Philipson Kamara successor named” for the 2012 Parliamentary election was nothing but a propaganda stunt. It was true that Honorable Philipson Kamara has said many times last year and early this year after representing Wara Wara Bafodia for 34 years, he told his supporters that he was not going to contest in the 2012 election. But surprisingly, Hon. Philipson Kamara has changed his mind to run again.

It is also clear that many people in the Constituency, mostly the youths want him not to participate and give way for someone else, but who that person is going to be is still unknown. Right now, the Constituency has two candidates who have declared their intention to run, they are Hon. Philipson Kamara and Mr. Femi Mansaray. The third person who people are praying for to enter the race is Mr. Hamidu P. Mansaray, a son of the soil of Wara Wara Bafodia Chiefdom, who presently resides in Washington Seattle, USA but has not yet declared his Intention.

Mr. Hamidu P. Mansaray is presently the President and Founder of the APC Washington Seattle Chapter of the APC North American Branch. According to one Mr. Konteh, Wara Wara Bafodia Political insider said Mr. Hamidu Mansaray has a proven record for the love of his country, Sierra Leone, Koinadugu and Wara Wara Bafodia in particular. He has spearheaded and sponsored many projects in the Constituency, among other things, such as a Community Center which was officially opened by President Earnest Bai Koroma in 2006, when he was the APC Party Leader. Mr. Hamidu Mansaray has also built the second largest Wesleyan church in Sierra Leone, water wells, churches, clinics and more.

The constituency has two Chiefdoms, Kasonko and Wara Wara Bafodia Chiefdoms. The Femi’s meeting was held in Bafodia town Headquarter of Wara Wara Bafodia Chiefdom. The paramount Chief of Kasonko was not present, his section chiefs and town chiefs were also not present at the said meeting. The Section Chiefs in Wara Wara Bafodia were not invited. How can Mr. Femi Mansaray chosen without the presence of these people?
Stay tune for more on this story, the Mr. Hamidu P. Mansaray Intentions and the Kasonko and Wara Wara Bafodia Chiefdoms decision on the 2012 election.

Thanks,

Salifu Pedro Bangura.
