Former President Kabbah at Makeni Funeral

16 July 2012 at 04:29 | 1000 views

The funeral of the late Mrs. Alice Koroma, mother of the president of Sierra Leone seems to have brought together, at least for a few days, the current political leadership and leaders of the various opposition parties.

In Freetown, they (opposition leaders) went to see president Koroma to offer their condolences and some were in Makeni over the weekend for the funeral ceremony. One of the prominent SLPP leaders present in Makeni was former president Ahmed Tejan Kabbah (in black), shown in this photo sent to us by Karamoh Kabba in Freetown.

Opposition leaders in Sierra Leone and indeed all over Africa are known for their violent attacks of sitting governments in the media.
