Sierra Leone’s reggae maestro, PegCity’s own Idrissa "Alaska" Turay will be the main act at this year’s Sierra Leone’s independence celebration in Winnipeg, Canada, this Saturday night.

Tonight’s event is by courtesy of the Sierra Leone Nationals Association of Manitoba, Inc., Canada, arguably the most vibrant Sierra Leonean community in the diaspora.

Chilling with the superstar himself last night at Abigail Harding’s Atiga Restaurant, Alaska has confirmed his performance with me and he’s going to throw some hit songs including "Mystic Lady."

The event is scheduled to take place tonight Saturday June 30, 2016, at the Canad Inn Hotel, Regent in Winnipeg, Canada.

Capture this opportunity to see the "Mystic Lady" star live at this year’s independence ceremony.

Alaska aka Idrissa Turay has earned a reputation in Sierra Leone and amongst other African musicians in the diaspora for the excellence of his musicianship and the excitement of his live shows - whether performing solo or with his band, The Peace Makers.

Also in attendance tonight will be London, UK, Sierra Leonean based diva and charity giver Daqueen Malisha.
