July 7th, 2007 is believed to be a propitious date. Most likely this belief is
buttressed by the rhyme 7/7/7.

Thus on this date, as so many people flocked to the casinos to try their
luck gambling, others took their better halves to the wedding pulpit.

In the Sierra Leonean community in Lowell, Massachusetts,U.S.A., Fatmata and
Ibrahim Bangura exchanged wedding vows amongst a throng of well -wishers in
Bellerica .

Fatmata is from the Kambia district , and Ibrahim hails from the
PortLoko district in Sierra Leone.

Both of them told me that they had dated
for as long as they could remember in both Freetown and here in the States.

When Ibrahim arrived in the U.S.A. in 1996, he’d made a promise to Fatmata
in Freetown that they would be together soonest. Thus,in 1998 Fatmata
followed Ibrahim and arrived in the States .

The promise was kept and was solemnized at the 7/7/7 wedding last Saturday.

The Patriotic Vanguard and Sierra Leoneans here in Massachusetts wish this
beautiful and modest couple a very happy and prosperous marriage.
